While working on the new restaurant and Lodge Event Center, we’ve also added two new luxurious villas to the property: Sugarlands and Clingman’s Dome. Built in a modern style and offering hotel-like amenities, they bring a whole new level of sophistication to lodging in the Smokies. They are available to rent starting August 21.

Similar to our Evergreen Cottage, these new spaces each offer detached sleeping areas connected by an adjoining door to accommodate up to 6 people total. They’re a great choice whether you are traveling as a group and want to use the whole space or just one side. One bedroom includes a King-sized bed with a full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace and a sitting area. The other fits 4 people in 2 Queen-sized beds with a kitchenette. Sugarland includes a roll-in shower and grab bars in one bathroom, making it a great option for guests with mobility issues. We’ve also recently renovated two other spaces, Gregory Bald and Chimney Top, to become 1 Bedroom/2 Bath Luxury Lofts.

Dancing Bear Lodge has added super-comfortable “Townie” Bicycles that are now available at the Apple Valley Country Stores, making it a breeze to explore Townsend and Cades Cove without a car. When presenting your room key at Apple Valley, you can get a discount not available to the general public. If you are a cycling fan, don’t forget to register for the Townsend Bicycle Bash on Sept. 19th. |

Dancing Bear Cabins consists of 16 luxury cabins on 34 beautiful acres along with 2 miles of hiking and biking trails. Due to the fire in November of 2013, the restaurant and Lodge are not operating, so there is no Dining on site. Breakfast is now served to Dancing Bear guests in the Apple Valley Cafe, where they can get a complimentary continental breakfast with greek yogurt, fresh fruit, our homemade granola, and orange juice or coffee or 10% of any hot breakfast items. Each cabin now has in room delicious fresh ground, locally roasted coffee, "Front Porch Blend" from Apple Valley Country Stores.
